IC INFORMATION
Character Name: "Elan Ceres" (AKA Enhanced Person Number 5)
(I'll be calling him "Five" throughout the app to avoid confusing him with the other characters also named Elan Ceres.)
Species: Human ("Enhanced Person")
Canon: Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury
Canon Point: Episode 19
Character Age: No official age given, but he's a 3rd year at his school which puts him somewhere between 17 and 18.
CRAU: No
CRAU Explanation: N/A
Character Appearance: There are two other characters that look identical to him, dw about it
Powers and Abilities: Five is a mostly normal teenage boy, save for the fact that his entire nervous system has been replaced with an artificial one courtesy of a freaky ultra-capitalist mad science company called Peil Technologies. The only thing this does for him is it allows him to interface with and pilot mobile suits that use the experimental GUND format. This basically just keeps him from dying as quickly as someone with a normal nervous system would from doing the same thing.
What Did Your Character Wish For? To be free from Peil and be able to live as his own person again
What Potion Did They Receive? Golden potion
Did They Drink It? It took some significant convincing from other dreamers that it was really safe to drink, but he did eventually. He can now turn into a little green-eyed siamese cat.

Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
The thing about Five is, he's actually woefully light on bonds and connections with other people. Peil removes the memories of any subject involved in their Enhanced Person project, so any friends or family he may have had prior to his "employment" are a complete mystery to him. The only person he has any kind of bond with at all is Norea Du Noc, a terrorist girl from Earth who also pilots a mobile suit that uses the GUND format (which is known for gradually killing it's pilots). He seems almost desperate to connect with her, presumably because she's the only other person he's ever had a heart to heart with who can possibly begin to understand the suffering that piloting a gundam brings. He's also fascinated by her, because he senses she shares the same fear of death that he has, and yet still chooses to fight using a machine that will eventually kill her.

2. What are they most afraid of?
Dying. He's primarily motivated by this fear and is quick to take whatever advantages he can to keep himself out of harms way. He states at one point that the reason he joined Peil and had his face changed was to keep himself alive, which... Considering what a shit deal being one of Peil's test pilots is, he either wasn't given a truthful rundown of the risks involved, OR he was fleeing from something very dire indeed, and this garbage option was his ONLY option. Exactly what happened in his past to make him so afraid of death is never explained in canon; considering his memories of his past are gone, the cause is irrelevant anyway. It's just a deeply ingrained instinct that he has.

3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Emotionally/mentally, he's a gigantic coward who is largely just concerned with saving his own skin. Unsurprisingly, this also means he's not a particularly good team player! He's also fairly closed off, which may in part be a requirement of acting as someone else's body double, but it might also just be because he's cagey. A lot of the time it can be difficult to tell when he's being genuine about something, or if he's just messing around. Basically he's just not very emotionally available, and he has a hard time forming true bonds with others. Physically, he has no major weaknesses to note beyond the standard human ones, ie people die when they are killed.

4. What would make them happiest?
Not having to pilot a gundam anymore would be a great place to start! Which, hey, presumably he won't have to do that here, so that's a point in Somnium's favor. He was always looking for a way to break off of Peil's leash and escape his role as a pilot duplicate for the real Elan Ceres, so being able to shed that identity and live for himself would also make him pretty damn happy.

5. What’s their type for a lover?
He's suspicious and cynical by nature, and tends to keep people at an arm's length... So I think he has too much going on to have given this much thought. On a meta level, what he probably needs is someone who is exceedingly patient enough to put up with his nonsense, who also isn't about to pressure him too hard into emotional intimacy. Much as he tries to act otherwise, he IS actually desperate for some kind of human connection, because he's been so starved of it... But he has trouble trusting or relating to anyone who he doesn't see as having suffered through the same kind of shit he has, so. Someone with a similarly tragic backstory would also be a plus :')
